We value real.

Eugene Peterson says that authenticity is “being content to be yourself”.

This idea calls us to embrace who God has made us to be and frees us from trying to be something that we are not. Being real matters. It matters because you are created in God’s own image and he wants to show himself to the world through you.

As a church, that means that we value real. We can’t always be perfect. We can’t always be right. But we can always be authentic.

AUTHENTICITY IN ACTION

The Vessel is a place of belonging. Sunday mornings are a time for you to come as you are… free of expectations, judgement and stereotypes. In the spirit of authenticity, our only hope is that you are able to be yourself. A relationship with Jesus is a journey and each one looks different.

Expect a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where you will be greeted with a handshake and a cup of coffee. Service starts just after 10am with a time of worship and a message straight from scripture. Sundays are casual (we do meet in a YMCA gym after all!), so dress however you are comfortable and participate in worship in whatever way is best for you.

We love this church. Great place to feel welcomed and be yourself.
